Federal court proceedings have come to a conclusion after the sentencing of a Kansas City man.

According to reports, James Allen, 52, was arrested in 2013 while carrying 3.8 grams of crack cocaine as well as a 9 mm pistol.  In October of last year, Allen plead guilty to a charge of possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.

He has been sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison without parole.
