A Kansas City Man previously convicted  of sexual misconduct has been sentenced in Platte county court today.  According to documentation from Platte county,  Jerry L. Snodgrass, 58, was sentenced to 36 years in prison for deviant relations with two girls under the age of twelve.  Snodgrass admitted to having several children at his apartment with many of them staying for the night.  For each count of statutory sodomy, he received 18 years all to be served consecutively.  Platte County prosecutor Eric Zahnd said, “It is heartbreaking that this man had the opportunity to hurt more children after being convicted of a sex crime in Kansas.”  Snodgrass was convicted in 1995 of indecent liberties with a victim who he abused from when she was age 4 until 14 years of age.  Zahnd also mentioned that he believed a recent change to the Missouri constitution led to the defendants decision to plead guilty, thereby sparing the victims  from having to testify at a trial.
