JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. — A wet roadway was to blame for a crash Tuesday morning in Johnson County.

According to an accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle crash occurred on eastbound U.S. 50 Highway, a half-mile east of Northwest 151st Road at approximately 8:50 a.m. Tuesday.

A vehicle driven by 45-year-old Olathe, Kan. resident Jeremy R. Price was traveling east when it began to slide on the wet pavement, sending it off the right side of the highway.

Price’s vehicle then hit a tree and came to rest.

He sustained minor injuries, for which he refused treatment at the scene.
