ANDREW COUNTY, Mo. — A collision between two cars in Andrew County Saturday resulted in three injuries and one driver potentially facing charges.

Just after 10:10 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol were called to a crash in Andrew County involving two vehicles. Upon arrival, they discovered the crash occurred as a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Santa Kami, of Kansas City, Kansas, was traveling southbound on Route D about three miles northeast of Savannah when Kami’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck a vehicle head-on driven by Savannah resident Susan Arn, 64. Both vehicles came to rest on their wheels in the northbound lane of Route D, with Kami’s vehicle facing southbound and Arn’s vehicle pointed north.

Arn suffered minor injuries, while both Kami and Arn’s pasenger, 66-year-old Barbara Tyree, also of Savannah, suffered moderate injuries. All three were transported to Mosaic Life Care by Buchanan County EMS and Andrew County EMS.

Additionally, Kami was arrested and preliminarily charged by Highway Patrol with driving while intoxicated. He was released for medical treatment. Future court dates for Kami are currently pending.
