CLAY COUNTY, Mo. — An Ogden, Kansas resident was moderately injured after colliding with an unoccupied vehicle in Clay County early Tuesday morning.
According to the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Ralph E. Stacey 56, entered the I-29 southbound ramp to I-35 northbound.
An unoccupied vehicle was reportedly obstructing part of the roadway from a previous accident.
Stacey’s vehicle began to skid on the wet pavement and struck the unoccupied vehicle, causing it to slide off the roadway and into a ditch.
The vehicle operated by Stacey came to rest on the right shoulder of the roadway.
Stacey was taken by Kansas City Fire to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
