DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo.– A single-vehicle accident that occurred last Sunday in Daviess County has left one person dead and one in custody.   How-to-Prepare-For-a-Dui-Court-Hearing

Aaron Robert Balliett, 21, of Cameron, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, operating a vehicle in a careless manner, and failing to stop at a stop sign.

Balliett was travelling on US 69, on May 29, 2016, four miles west of Altamonth with passenger, McKenzie Pattie, 20, of Kansas City, when Balliett lost control of the vehicle,  travelled across US 69, and struck an embankment. Balliett was taken to St. Lukes on the Plaza in Kansas City for treatement of serious injuries. Patti was transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center and later by Air Ambulance to Truman Medical Center where she died three days later from serious injuries.

A cash-only bond has been set for Balliett at $35,000. Court dates are still pending.
