KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A male shooting victim in his late teens to early 20s was found in the parking lot of the community center on West Pennway in Kansas City on Sunday evening, Aug. 9. Officers were called to the scene to find the male unresponsive. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. According to a release from the Kansas City Police Department, the victim later died. Callers reported seeing “an interaction between the victim and unknown suspect” before the victim fled the scene in a vehicle. KCPD also asks anyone with information to call the Homicide Unit directly at 234-5043. Information leading to an arrest will reward up to $25,000 in this case.
