KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Emergency personnel responded to U.S. 71 Highway and Gregory to an injury collision involving police Saturday evening. According to a release from the Kansas City Police Department, law enforcement determined a Kansas City Police Department patrol vehicle was westbound, utilizing lights and a siren, responding to an emergency call at Meyer and Troost. The police vehicle crossed the southbound lanes of the highway and was struck by a Toyota Sedan, driven by a Kansas City woman, 28. The incident occurred at 7:06 p.m. Saturday. Two officers and the woman were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No further details were given.
