The water tower in Keytesville will undergo routine maintenance on Wednesday. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to Mayor Anthony Lee:
“They do this about every two years,” said Lee,” They will inspect the inside of the tank and make sure the paint and everything is good. If there’s any residue, they’ll wash that out. We’re not anticipating any problems, but we are looking ahead just in case because, with it being a dry summer, we may have a possible water leak. We just want the residents to be prepared and to keep the water demand down during this project if possible.”
The water tower will be drained and inspected during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 12, 2012 the City of Keytesville will be performing the routine cleanout and inspection of the water tower. The tower will be out of commission from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this time water will be directly fed through the lines causing lower water pressure.
The city asks that their customers conserve water throughout this period of time and suggest that they draw up some water ahead of time for personal use in case of unforeseeable complications.
