The Daviess County Health Department is offering a cooking course for 4th through 6th graders this summer. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk with Administrator Cheryl Alexander:
“If kids can help out in the kitchen, that’s great,” said Alexander,”Plus they will learn which foods are nutritious, good for them, and healthy. This is one of the most important lessons of these classes.”
The classes will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from June 18th through the 29th. Two different sessions will be offered each day. The first will run from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. and the second will be held from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. All supplies will be provided free of charge and those interested may call 660-663-2414 to register.
