ADAIR COUNTY, Mo – A Kirksville woman is facing felony domestic assault and armed criminal action after an incident at a hotel in Kirksville.

According to Kirksville Police Department, Meghan Raymer, 28, was involved in an argument with a male victim around 4 p.m. at the Budget Host hotel in Kirksville on September 5. The argument escalated and Raymer stole car keys and contents of a wallet from the victim and then fled in the victim’s truck. The victim tried to stop Raymer from leaving in the stolen vehicle before Raymer struck the victim with the front driver side of the vehicle. Raymer then drove to the Kirksville Police Department to report the incident.

The Kirksville Police Department has previously worked five other domestic disturbances involving Raymer in the past two years.

Raymer is facing 1st Degree Domestic Assault and Armed Criminal Action. She is currently being held in Adair County Jail.
