The Lafayette County Health Department will conduct a disaster exercise in April to gauge how prepared county resources are to respond to a county wide medical emergency or natural disaster. Rod Kirchhoff, the department’s Emergency Response Planner says this exercise will focus on distributing medication to citizens within a 48 hour window and talks about when the exercise will take place at Lafayette County School.

The health department is asking county residents to participate that are at least 18 years of age. If you would like to participate in this April 11th event or learn more, log onto the Lafayette County Health Department website.
