The Lafayette County Planning and Zoning Commission met earlier this week to discuss changes that will be made to the county’s planning code. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk with County Clerk Linda Niendick:
“It was just a regular planning commission meeting,” said Niendick. “They had other agenda items and later in the evening they did go back and continue the hearing for the code revisions. This has been a long and very deliberate process which isn’t over yet. There were public comments, and the planning commission always appreciates input.”
Niendick says the discussion about the code revisions will continue to two meetings later this month.
“The hearing on the 15th will be at the Lafayette County Court House in the Circuit Courtroom,” added Niendick. “The meeting on the 19th will be at the same time and in the same place.”
Niendick invites residents of the county to attend the meetings in order to give their input about the changes which are being made to the code.
