The Lafayette County Cattleman’s Association is offering scholarships to members and junior members of the Missouri Cattleman’s Association. The organization is giving out three separate one-thousand dollar scholarships. The program is designed to assist young students interested in agricultural careers who plan on attending college, junior college, or post secondary educational schools.The scholarship is open to high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2014.

In order to be eligible either the student or the student’s parents must be collegiate or junior members of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association or Cattle-woman member. Applicants must submit an application form along with two letters of reference, and will be screened by an interview committee. The deadline for the application is April 1st, and the scholarship recipients will be announced by May 1st, 2014.
