LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo., — Icy road conditions in Lafayette County caused a Higginsville teen to be injured.

According to a crash report, Heather Floyd, 35, of Higginsville was eastbound on Interstate 70 in Lafayette County at 6:53 this morning when the vehicle began to slide on the ice covered roadway. Floyd then traveled off the right side of the roadway and impacted a utility pole and overturned.

An occupant in the vehicle, a 16 year old from Higginsville, received moderate injuries from the crash and was transported by Odessa EMS to Centerpoint Hospital. Floyd did not report any injuries.
