OSAGE BEACH – The Missouri State Highway Patrol has announced that starting this 4th of July weekend all boat traffic at the Lake of the Ozarks will be restricted to non-wake travel.

The no wake order is due to torrential rainfall during the late spring and early summer. The current lake level is at 662.5 feet currently which is about 4.5 feet above normal stage.

The no wake order will remain in effect for the Lake of the Ozarks until the lake stage moves below 661 feet.

All boaters should reduce boat speeds, but according to Governor Jay Nixon’s Office released from Bagnell Dam should have the lake down to that level by Saturday.
