CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A passenger on a boat at the Lake of the Ozarks was ejected from the watercraft during an incident Wednesday morning on the water. 

According to a report from the Missouri State Water Patrol, the accident occurred at the 15.9 mile marker of the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks around 11:39 a.m. Wednesday.

A bass boat operated by 47-year-old Lake Ozark resident Christopher M. Miller was westbound when it struck the shoreline, ejecting 34-year-old Katherine E. Miller, also of Lake Ozark.

The report indicates neither boater was wearing a safety device when the incident occurred.

Christopher Miller received minor injuries and Katherine Miller suffered serious injuries in the crash. Christopher was treated at Lake Regional Hospital while Katherine was transported to University Hospital in Columbia to receive continued care.
