CARROLL COUNTY, Mo.– Absentee voting is now available for the primary election to be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016. Carroll County voters may obtain their ballot in person in the county clerk’s office or request an absentee ballot by mail.
Party primaries are held to nominate candidates to the general election in November, therefore only one party ballot can be selected. When requesting your ballot you must indicate party preference of Democrat, Republican, Libertarian or Constitution.
The last day to register to vote and be eligible to vote in the primary election is today, July 6, 2016 by 5 p.m.
The last day to request absentee ballot by mail or through parent or guardian is Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 5 p.m.
The County Clerk’s office will have extended office hours on Saturday, July 30, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for walk-in absentee voting. The last day to absentee vote in person is Monday, August 1, 2016, at 5 p.m.
Sample ballots of the primary election are available in the County Clerk’s office. The required pblic test of the accuracy and logistics of the hardware and software being used for the primary election will be held in the counting room of the Clerk’s office on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 3 p.m.
