Funds from Saturday evening’s fun will go toward an organization that supports area veterans.  “The Wounded Warrior Project helps veterans get back into society through training, schooling, and artificial limbs,” said Mallory, “The organization is there to help with anything they or their families might need.  These funds will be sent to Kansas City to the branch office and will be used for our area.”

Members of area law enforcement agencies have stepped up to help.  “The Moberly Police Department and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department will play against Macon’s police and sheriff departments in a basketball game,” said Mallory, “We’d like to have everyone come out and support these guys.  They’re all volunteering their time to do this and we just want it to be a fun evening.”

The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Macon High School gymnasium.  Admission is $5.
