RAY COUNTY, Mo. — A crash in Ray County seriously injured a Lawson driver Wednesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, state troopers were called to Route C, four-tenths of a mile south of Route M in Ray County around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

A vehicle operated by 73-year-old Craig Andrae ran off the roadway when Andrae swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway.

The vehicle then struck a ditch and rolled over.

Despite wearing a seatbelt, Andrae suffered critical injuries in the accident. He was transported to Liberty Hospital to be treated.
