A legally blind man reported as missing last week has been located. Alan Nalder had last been seen Monday evening at his home in rural Pettis County. Authorities made contact with him Tuesday and learned he was hitchhiking to relatives in the State of Georgia.

Last week, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office alerted residents that Alan K. Nalder III was missing from his residence on Crystal Springs Road in rural western Pettis County, south of LaMonte. Mr. Nalder was reported to be LEGALLY BLIND and was last seen in the area of Crystal Springs Road and Hwy 127 on foot Monday evening, March 4th.
Earlier today (3/12/13), authorities made contact with Alan Nalder in the State of Mississippi. He was reportedly hitchiking his way to Georgia where relatives reside.
The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office has cancelled the attempt to contact and no longer considers Mr. Nalder to be a missing person.
No further action required.
