The Lexington City Council reviewed information concerning the purchase of a private water system during Tuesday night’s meeting. No final decisions were made, however, three options were presented to members about possible locations for water towers in town. Other factors need consideration such as a fluoride system, backup generator, and pump station. In other council business, a new hospital is being built in Lafayette County. Turner Construction Company was voted on during executive session to be the hospital’s construction manager, however, no contract was signed. Council will decide on a owner’s representative and contract manager on March 21st.
