The City of Lexington has experienced a rough 24 hours. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with Mayor Jerry Brown:
A fire broke out in the downtown late Wednesday night. Nobody was injured, but an apartment building and a small tavern were damaged. The blaze is believed to have started in an air conditioning unit. A water main break forced the city to shut off service to customers along Highway 13 South from Marshall School Road to the east end of service and O Road to the end of service. Water has been restored, but a boil order is in effect until Friday at 4:00 p.m.
