LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Bates City accused of multiple child-sex related crimes will be in a court room Tuesday in Lexington.
According to a probable cause statement, 45-year-old Larry Mansfield, Jr. is accused of engaging in sexual activities with a 13-year-old girl on November 12 of last year.
Mansfield allegedly did not cooperate with investigators however denied the allegations, entering a not guilty plea in mid-November.
He is now charged with multiple felonies, including for third degree child molestation with a child less than 14 years old and two counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy-deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 14. Bone for Mansfield is set at $100,000 with conditions.
Mansfield is slated to appear before a judge for an arraignment hearing in Lafayette County at 11:00 a.m Tuesday.
