In the Herb Chalet booth, Bill Miller visits with a farmers market customer.

There was a steady flow of traffic though the downtown parking lot.  From vegetables and fruits to herbs and baked goods, everyone found something to take home.  Bill Miller with Herb Chalet likes the time he spends face to face marketing for a number of reasons…

Now Miller serves as the Market Master for the Lexington group and president of the county association.  This is the second year the community has enjoyed having weekly access to local goods and it’s already been a May full of variety

The FFA chapter has caught a bit of the entrepreneurial farming spirit.  Junior Kayleah Tye is spending time in the dirt for her Supervised Agriculture Experience (or SAE) project…

Lexington FFA member Kayleah Tye sold a variety of garden vegetables.

Tye serves as the marketer for a variety of herbs too…

The Lexington Market opens each Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 in the Bank Midwest parking lot at 13th and Main.
