The City of Lexington shut off water service to numerous customers Thursday morning in order to make repairs to the lines.  Mayor Jerry Brown said the utility department turned off the water at 11 a.m.  Customers along Highway 13 South from Marshall School Road to the east end of service and O Road to the end of service will not have any water.  This will also effect those living on Summit Camp Road.  Brown said they hope to have service restored by 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.  A boil order is possible, but has not been formally issued.
