The Lexington City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. Click to hear KMZU’s Chelsea Pounds speak with City Clerk Carla Ghisalberti.
Ghisalberti said there will be a very light agenda. “We’ll have discussion about the Loggers Retirement Program and a surplus sale of items the city received when we purchased the water tower. We will then get reports from our Municipal Services Committee and Administration Committee.” She added the Mayor may give a hospital update.
Ghisalberti went into detail about the Loggers Retirement Program. She said, “It’s a benefit program for the city employees. The city and its employees will contribute 4% of their gross wages into the program.” Ghisalberti added this will be the third discussion council has had regarding the contributory program.
