CHILLICOTHE, MO. — The Chillicothe City Council will hold a meeting Thursday to accommodate the Christmas holiday early next week.

According to a tentative agenda, a report from the finance chairman will include the presentation and expected approval of invoices and payroll.

Jon Maples will then present newly-hired officers for the Chillicothe Police Department, followed by discussion of an ordinance accepting a contract with the Daviess-Dekalb Regional Jail led by City Administrator Darin Chappell.

Comments from the public, city administrator, mayor and council member swill then be allowed before council adjourns to a closed, executive session.

The meeting is scheduled to get underway at the Chillicothe City Hall at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
