CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is announcing a methamphetamine arrest after an investigation.

According to Sheriff Steve Cox, the sheriff’s office and Chillicothe police jointly worked the case. 48-year-old Amy L. Nieman was stopped Jan. 15 on US 36.

Methamphetamine and controlled prescription medication were reportedly seized during the traffic stop.

Recommended charges of felony possession of controlled substance — methamphetamine and possession of controlled substance — scheduled prescription medication are sent to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.

Law enforcement did not reveal how long the investigation has been in place.
