LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Mo.- The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office arrested a St. Joseph, Mo., woman on drug possession allegations following a traffic stop last Thursday, July 26.
According to a release from Sheriff Cox, a deputy stopped a vehicle in the evening hours for going 20 mph over the speed limit. The driver was ultimately cited for speeding and one of the occupants, Shyann M. Barron, 21, was allegedly in possession of heroin, methamphetamine, THC oil and drug paraphernalia.
Initially, Baron was claiming to be a certain person from St. Joseph and was processed and booked into jail under the name and personal identifiers she was giving the officers and detention staff. While at the jail there was a problem and Barron came clean with her real identity and was wanted in Buchanan County on arrest warrants.
Barron now faces a variety of alleged felony drug charges in addition to alleged felony forgery/identity theft. She was released to the Buchanan County Jail pending the filing of formal charges.
