Loberta “Bobbi” Louise Runge (Tieman), 100 of Higginsville, Missouri passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.

Arrangements entrusted to Hoefer Funeral Home and online condolences may be made to the family at www.hoeferfuneralhome.com A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday December 10, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kurt Brandon officiating. Interment will follow in the Higginsville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Depot will be open Monday, December 9, from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM for tours and visits in Bobbi’s honor. Casket bears: Sevier Hoefer, Paul Holsten, Curtis Lohman, George Schwarzer, Bert Sowers, Wendall Starkebaum. Honorary casket bearers: Raul Bermudez, Eric Glaze, Paul Glaze, Kyle Houston, Keenan Runge.

Born Tuesday, July 1, 1919 in Alma, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Tieman and the late Emma Schaefer Tieman. She graduated from Alma High School in 1937 and married Paul Runge on February 19, 1939 in Gainesville, FL. Paul preceded her in death on December 30, 1984. Bobbi enjoyed traveling, gardening, sowing, and researching genealogy. She was a lifetime member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Bobbi was a co-founder and co-owner of Ace Radio Control in Higginsville. They employed many local residents over the years. Ace Radio Control of Higginsville was the only manufacturer left in the U.S. that still manufactured remote control airplanes and remote control systems. They were known worldwide for these systems and were international shippers.
She helped form the Harvey J. Higgins Historical Society and was proud to help develop the local Depot Museum. She was instrumental in the purchase and restoration of the Depot. She orchestrated the research and acquisition of all the Depot’s artifacts and memorabilia.
Surviving are four grandsons, Keenan Runge of Higginsville, Kyle (Jennifer) Houston of St. Petersburg, FL, Paul (Misty) Glaze of Eugene, OR, Eric Glaze of Eugene; one granddaughter, Kelly (Raul) Bermudez of St Petersburg; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul; two sons, Dale Runge and Paul Thomas Runge; one daughter, Barbara Ann Glaze; and one sister, Minnie Opfer.
