CHILLICOTHE, Mo. — Three local organizations were able to receive funds from ‘Pink Out Chillicothe,’ an event held to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer.
The Hendrick Medical Center Emergency Department and the Chillicothe Fire Department partnered for this event, raising $7,100.
Three different organizations were able to benefit from the funds raised. The Hendrick Oncology Nurse Navigator Program received $5,100, Hope Lodge City Kansas City received $1,000, and Mrs. Shira’s 4th grade leadership class received $1,000, as they make blankets for cancer patients.
