The MSBA announced today that its current Executive Director will retire effective June 30, 2015.

Dr. Carter D. Ward joined the Missouri School Boards’ Association in 1973 and went on to take the helm of the organization ten years later in 1983. He has served as Executive Director for more than 30 years.

When Dr. Ward began working at MSBA, there were only two employees working off of the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, and today the organization employs 45 people and serves districts across the state.

Dr. Ward will officially step down from his post on June 30, 2015.
