The City will also use that time to hold the Steve McQueen Car Show that was cancelled last month because of weather.  “It’s going to be up on Main Street that morning.  We’ll be in the park that afternoon with the blues festival, and invite everybody out to spend a full day in Slater,” said Griffith.  More information is available at bearcreekblues.com.

Council also addressed a problem specific to the spring and summertime.  They have had issues caused by people blowing their grass into the streets.  “When it rains, it clogs up the storm drains.  We’re going to start issuing some warnings if we see there’s too much grass around your house blowing out in the street,” said Griffith, “Like I say, when it clogs up the drains, then people’s yards flood, and it’s not a pretty sight.”
