Click to hear KMZU’s Ashley Johnson speak with Lyceum Theatre Producing Artistic Director Quin Gresham:
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is coming to life this week on the stage of the Lyceum Theatre in Arrow Rock. Grisham said early performances have been well-received. “To be in a room and to hear Tiny Tim say God bless us everyone after watching the story unfold, is a heart-opening experience,” said Gresham, “We’ve seen people with tears in their eyes leaping out of their seats to applaud at the end of the show. It really is a special experience and it is our gift to mid-Missouri.”
All of the key players in the Lyceum family have gathered for this show. “We’ve assembled just a dynamite cast,” said Gresham,” Ron Wisniski has joined us to play Scrooge. Ron has done several shows for us here at the Lyceum and is magnificent in the role. It’s a real delight to watch him do his thing and undergo the transformation Ebenezer Scrooge undergoes resulting from the visits of the several ghosts that come and try to soften his frigid heart.”
Remaining performances are scheduled for bothFriday and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and the final show on Sunday at 2:00. Tickets can be reserved by calling the box office at 660-837-3311.
