Ewing said the event went well. “This Saturday we had wonderful weather, and a good turn-out.  We had ten teams participate, so it was a pretty busy place. We also had things happening on the stage throughout the entire evening.” She added, “We’re still working to reach our goal. We didn’t quite make it, but i believe some teams still have some money to turn in once they pay for bills and such.” The Macon County Relay raised around $23,000.00 in total.

Ewing said all teams will be recognized for their fundraising efforts. “We do have ten teams and I believe some still have some money to turn in. We will continue to accept donations.” She added, “We plan to have a wrap up party on June 27th. That is when all the teams will be awarded recognition for their fundraising goals. So, at that point we’re hoping all the teams will have almost everything taken care of and turned in.”
