Chuck Marcum submitted his resignation from the Malta Bend School District earlier in June. Click here to hear KMZU’s Brian Lock talk with Superintendent Chuck Marcum:
“The position was filled last Wednesday at our regular board meeting,” Marcum said. “We did some interviewing that evening and the board made a decision later on that evening.”
The Board of Education selected John Angelhow to fill Marcum’s position. Marcum said he was leaving Malta Bend in order to be closer to his family.
“There is a part of me that regrets moving on. This has been a great place to work and a great Board of Education to work with,” Marcum stated. “We just felt it was time to move on. Our family was looking for a few things, one factor being the location of our daughter attending Missouri State in Springfield.”
Marcum said he has taken a Superintendent position at a district in southwest Missouri, but would not divulge the district’s name at the time of his interview.
