A Cole Camp resident is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning on charges of murder and child abuse. According to the probable cause statement, Rafael Alejo, 27, is accused of punching his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter in the stomach, resulting in her death. He will appear for a hearing in a Benton County Courtroom at 9:00 a.m. Alejo is reported to go by a number of aliases, including Rafael Rodriguez and Alejo Rodriguez. He is being held in the Benton County Jail on bond of $200,000.
