JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A drug overdose in Columbia has lead to a federal drug trafficking sentence for a man and woman.
According to the Justice Department announcement, Jennifer Foust, 30, of Berkley Missouri called 911 when Gustavo Ruvalcaba, 45, of St. Louis overdosed at a Columbia hotel. Each was sentenced Wednesday after being found guilty on May 6th of participating in a conspiracy to distribute heroin, crack cocaine, powder cocaine and methamphetamine. Ruvalcaba was also convicted of possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute.
He will serve 12 years and 7 months in federal prison without parole. Foust will serve six years in federal prison without parole.
