A St. Joseph man faces 1st degree burglary charges in Linn County following an incident on Friday night. The Sheriff’s Department responded to an intruder call at a home on Route JJ south of Marceline. The resident reported finding someone in the garage of the home, who threw a screwdriver at her and fled the scene. The resident was able to get a license plate of the vehicle. The next day, the vehicle was seen near that same residence. A family member followed the vehicle until a deputy and a Highway Patrol trooper was able to stop the vehicle. 36-year old Ryan Joy is being held on a 25-thousand dollar bond.
