A Richmond man was taken into custody early Thursday morning on at least three felony charges.  According to a police report, officers stopped Eric Hertzig, 47, in the area of Dean and Crispin Streets at about 2:30 a.m.  He allegedly fled on foot.  Hertzig was later apprehended in the 300 block of Morningside Terrace, less than two miles from where he was initially stopped.

He has been charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and driving without headlights.  Bond was set at $7,500.
