BRAYMER, Mo. — The man charged in connection with the death of two Wisconsin brothers pleaded not guilty Monday in a Clinton County courtroom.
Garland “Joey” Nelson waived formal arraignment and entered a not guilty plea to the charges Monday morning. Nelson is accused of operating a truck owned by Nick and Justin Diemel, who went missing July 21. The missing person investigation turned into a death investigation near the end of the month.
Police reported finding human remains on the farm owned by Nelson. Court documents suggest Nelson admitted to driving the truck to a commuter lot in Holt.
No other court date has been established.
