DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. – A Texas man has pleaded guilty in Daviess County, to charges related to a stolen auto, a burglary and pursuit in 2018.

Gregory Scott Hill, 40, of San Benito, Tx., entered the plea to eight felony charges Tuesday morning. Hill was accused of stealing a vehicle after he was caught burglarizing a home in Jamesport in June of 2018. Hill failed to yield to a deputy near Gallatin and was seen throwing objects from the car window.After he finally stopped, officers found methamphetamine and several firearms. The discarded items turned out to be stolen property.

Hill pled guilty to burglary in the first and second degree, two counts of felony stealing, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest by fleeing.

The court is waiting for a sentence assessment report before scheduling a hearing.
