A Ferrelview man was sentenced in federal court Tuesday afternoon.  According to a press release from the office of the U.S. Attorney for Missouri’s Western District, Raymnond M. Appling, 32, was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison without parole.  In March of this year, Appling pleaded guilty to four counts of producing or attempting to produce child pornography.  This case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative that began in 2006 by the Dept. of Justice to fight child sexual exploitation and abuse.
