A Sedalia resident that pled guilty in the death and dismemberment of Marshall Resident, Mandy Black, 35, is dead.
Joseph Arbeiter, 66, was sentenced to life in prison without parole back in early December. He entered a guilty plea to first degree murder, armed criminal action, first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy, first-degree rape or attempted rape, first-degree sexual abuse, unlawful use of a weapon, second-degree assault, and possession of controlled substance.
According to a press release from the Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, Arbeiter was found unresponsive at the facility and taken to University Medical Center in Columbia where he was pronounced dead. The death reportedly is due to natural causes.
