DEKALB COUNTY, Mo. — Two people from Iowa were sent to an area hospital for treatment after a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Dekalb County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol responded to Interstate 35 southbound at the 54.6 mile marker in Cameron at 8:55 a.m. Thursday.

A car driven by Johnston, Iowa resident Donald C. Gadbow, 78, was southbound when it went off the left side of the roadway and struck the median crossover. This caused the vehicle to become airborne before returning to the ground on its wheels.

Gadbow and a passenger, 77-year-old Bethelyn S. Gadbow, both suffered serious injuries in the accident. He was transported by ambulance to Liberty Hospital to receive treatment.
