A man will be in a Livingston County courtroom Wednesday. Justin Winfrey, along with three others, was taken into custody when the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a report of theft in the 1100 block of Graves Street earlier this month.
The other two suspects are facing charges of felony theft and possession of a controlled substance. They were arrested at the scene of the crime. Justin Winfrey was taken into custody at the intersection of Hickory and Cowgill and is being charged with one count felony stealing.
Police officers said the three worked together over a short period of time to steal a number of objects, then attempted to return some of the stolen items.
Winfrey is currently detained in the Daviess County jail. He will appear before a judge for a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m.
