JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. – A Johnson County jury found a woman guilty of manslaughter for killing her estranged husband in April of 2017.
The jury did not convict Jema Donahue, 33, of second degree murder in the case. She is also guilty of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, felony murder, tampering with evidence and abandonment of a corpse. Investigators say Javon Donahue’s body was buried in a farm field with the help of Jema’s mother and a family friend.
A sentencing hearing is tentatively set for January 14, 2019.
