MISSOURI — Next week marks the first full week of March. As the old saying goes, March comes in like a lion . . . and the first week of March is recognized as National Severe Weather Awareness Week.

KMZU’s Brian Lock was able to chat with Al Pietrycha, meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Pleasant Hill, who said having a preparedness plan is key to being ready when the first major storm of the season hits.
