A Bates City man will appear in a Lafayette County courtroom for a hearing Wednesday morning. Christopher Zevecke, 31, is facing one count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, one count of unlawful use of a firearm, one count of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was charged after deputies served a search warrant at his home earlier this month and found a marijuana-growing operations. He will appear at 9:00. Zevecke is being held on bond of $100,000.
